In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pregosa's goalkeeper Martinho Fontoura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Fontes in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Garcia in the 43rd minute of play forced Pregosa's goalkeeper Martinho Fontoura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colos FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
