Chaos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Altzibar Ruiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SL Liverpool's Paulo lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altzibar Ruiz in the 19th minute of play. Nuno Tristão kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Erol Hamedović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo lago having to interfere. Erol Hamedović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute, Luís Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, SL Liverpool's Telmo Corte-Real sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Erol Hamedović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Corte-Real to make the kick off. The supporters of SL Liverpool booed when Chaos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Chaos FC's Miguel Henriques ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo lago. Paulo lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 67 minutes into the game, Chaos FC's Amadeu Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 72 minutes, Hélio Regueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SL Liverpool and the Chaos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SL Liverpool's Hélio Regueira got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Chaos FC's Erol Hamedović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo lago. Paulo lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Chaos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Altzibar Ruiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SL Liverpool's Paulo lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SL Liverpool from getting a goal against them.
