Paulo Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zarco Ferro in the 7th minute. Inácio Albuquerque hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emílio Guarda sped through Patameiros's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frederico Bettencourt. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Albuquerque in the 51st minute of play forced SC Gomiei's goalkeeper Paulo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inácio Albuquerque in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Correia saved SC Gomiei from getting behind. The supporters of Patameiros booed when SC Gomiei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emílio Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Frederico Bettencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Gomiei supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Gomiei would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
