Spectators: 7268 (Terracing: 5453, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermínio Monteiro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Carreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Carreira in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nuno Vieira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Laureano Matos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Hélder Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Miguel Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Carreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nuno Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Laureano Matos suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 38 minutes into the game, Afonso Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Macanedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Internacional Fc the free kick. Afonso Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Hélio Quintanilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hermínio Monteiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Vieira came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermínio Monteiro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 42nd minute. After 48 played minutes SC Macanedo got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Paiva. Internacional Fc's Hermínio Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Hélder Veiga made the kick off in the second half. If Francisco Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Macanedo's zone, Hermínio Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Vieira came out of the goal and Hermínio Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aprígio Leite having to interfere. In the 64th minute Hélder Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aprígio Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Quintanilha in the 70th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Hélio Quintanilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Macanedo's Nuno Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Monteiro in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Vieira saved SC Macanedo from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, SC Macanedo's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Carreira came free, but Nuno Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Carreira in the 82nd minute of play. Hermínio Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélio Quintanilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nuno Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Internacional Fc fully deserved thier win.
