Gaspar Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. If Gustavo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Lima's late challenge caught a SC Valarinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Júlio Viegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Paredes's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 67 minutes of play, SC Valarinho's Gustavo Paredes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Viegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the game, Amílcar Delgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Júlio Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Aroeiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Cunha. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, Afonso Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aroeiras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Valarinho the free kick. The supporters of SC Valarinho booed when Aroeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that SC Valarinho were the better team. SC Valarinho's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
