The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Machado got free with Armindo Guimarães in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Guimarães having to interfere. Armindo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, JCSF Bustelo's goalkeeper Grzegorz Mroczynski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Fontes. If Daniel Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avelino Leiria hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
