Ricardo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Gois in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Laguinho getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Manuel Pinho hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Cássio Miguéis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Maia skillfully saved the ball. After 26 played minutes, Calde FC's Hermano Seixas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Maia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Calde FC reached it. Ricardo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Gois in the 27th minute of play. Romão Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Simo Nestorovski sent off a good shot on target. Calde FC's Romão Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Calde FC from getting a goal against them. If Simo Nestorovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Renato Rego cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ricardo Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Gois in the 44th minute of play forced Laguinho's goalkeeper Ricardo Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Raimundo Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Laguinho's zone, Nicolas Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Maia came out of the goal and Nicolas Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Evandro Gois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Laguinho's goalkeeper Ricardo Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Oliveira. In the 75th minute Evandro Gois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Rego got free with Ricardo Maia in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Simo Nestorovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simo Nestorovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romão Cardoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Simões went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Laguinho's Ricardo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Gois in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Calde FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
