Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when André Vilaverde kicked off to start the match. When Ernesto Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Petropolitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Sebastião Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Poças in the 5th minute of the match. Fernando Gueifão charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Gueifão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernando Gueifão hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Fernandes got free with Sebastião Vieira in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastião Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Poças in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Petropolitano's Sebastião Vieira got control of the ball when Leandro Poças tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Vilaverde in the 21st minute of play forced Petropolitano's goalkeeper Sebastião Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Poças in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, André Vilaverde dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastião Vieira, 1-0. In the 30th minute André Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as João Fernandes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastião Vieira. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Sebastião Vieira came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaguars's André Vilaverde. But to his dismay, André Vilaverde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Baltasar Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Vilaverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Vieira having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Jaguars's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Monteiro came free, but Aquilino Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Normando Lages's late challenge caught a Petropolitano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Normando Lages helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Monteiro made a kick off. Sebastião Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Lamego in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Isac Taborda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastião Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Vilaverde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes of play, Jaguars's André Vilaverde made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastião Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute André Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Baltasar Lamego left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaguars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Sebastião Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Poças in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Poças in the 94th minute of play forced Petropolitano's goalkeeper Sebastião Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petropolitano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
