Augusto Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in SC Xertelo's zone, Heitor Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Vaz came out of the goal and Heitor Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Amadeu Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samouco Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Xertelo the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Samouco Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Branco to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heitor Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Assis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Heitor Alves scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, SC Xertelo's Tomás Veiga got a free kick in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Samouco Futebol Clube were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Xertelo for much of the match.
