Gabriel Taborda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gabriel Taborda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Danilo Fidalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Armindo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Maurício Zambujal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Taborda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Pacheco in the 85th minute of the match. If Rodrigo Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Armindo Cunha took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gabriel Taborda to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guimaraes FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
