Armindo Ramalho started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Malhapao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Granja came free, but Romão Raminhos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armindo Ramalho in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Teves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Amaral during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caio Amaral hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Armindo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Malhapao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Hélder Assis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Catarino Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Romão Raminhos made a huge save. The goalkeeper, Romão Raminhos, was totally fooled by Gondalaes's Hermano Alves, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Eduardo Teves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Granja made a kick off. 3-0 became the score in the 52nd minute when Afonso Granja elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Catarino Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Teves having to interfere. Marcos Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romão Raminhos having to interfere. Gondalaes's Marcos Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Malhapao FC's zone, Afonso Granja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romão Raminhos came out of the goal and Afonso Granja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th match minute, Malhapao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Assis to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romão Raminhos having to interfere. Catarino Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Teves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Malhapao FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gondalaes.
