Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Neves started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Macieira's Rodolfo Furtado got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience cheered loudly when Armindo Silva's long shot in the 7th minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Vítor Soares. Vítor Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vítor Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Macieira's Vítor Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Macieira from getting a goal against them. Jorge Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Catarinoes! The referee gave Macieira a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joaquim Gois, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Catarinoes's Álvaro Pacheco. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Oliveira to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Oliveira in the 56th minute of play forced Macieira's goalkeeper Vítor Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Morais in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Soares saved Macieira from getting behind. Álvaro Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Paulo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vasco Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Pacheco having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Macieira's Paulo Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Pacheco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Macieira getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Homero Lameirinhas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Macieira's zone, Armindo Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Soares came out of the goal and Armindo Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Macieira's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Oliveira came free, but Vítor Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Soares came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Catarinoes's Jorge Morais. But to his dismay, Jorge Morais quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Paulo Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Soares having to interfere. Rodolfo Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Furtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Macieira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Vasco Sá scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Pacheco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
