Vicente Carvalheira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Vicente Carvalheira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Faria in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Afonso Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Carvalheira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Gomiei's Vicente Carvalheira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Vassenius in the 17th minute of play. Rodrigo Rebocho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Vicente Carvalheira came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Gizmokiller's Catarino Simões. But to his dismay, Catarino Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Vicente Carvalheira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The Gizmokiller fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Gizmokiller's Catarino Simões looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Allan Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Rebocho in the 29th minute of play. Vicente Carvalheira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 36th play minutes Afonso Faria shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Vicente Carvalheira and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the SC Gomiei defense, Catarino Simões kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Carvalheira. The SC Gomiei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Carvalheira should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Simões made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Catarino Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gizmokiller's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Gomiei's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Afonso Faria scored to the left of an out of position Vicente Carvalheira, making the score, 0-7. Afonso Faria in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente Carvalheira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 57 in the game by Catarino Simões from a close distance when the talented Vicente Carvalheira managed to make a qualified save. SC Gomiei's players were relieved. Catarino Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute Laureano Jordão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Lisboa's late challenge caught a SC Gomiei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Pereira's late challenge caught a SC Gomiei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Gomiei booed when Gizmokiller was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Afonso Faria sped through SC Gomiei's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vicente Carvalheira. Gizmokiller's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Carvalheira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Catarino Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Carvalheira having to interfere. Vicente Carvalheira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gizmokiller's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
