With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Raul Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Nóbrega was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Aguiar to make the kick off. When Raul Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Oeiras United Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Sten Muren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Paiva in the 54th minute. Jorge Delgado hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Filipe Lages got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lúcio Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute Raul Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raul Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Montinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Guarda. After recieving a nice pass, Oeiras United Lions's Carlos Vieira tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Amílcar Guarda hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jorge Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Raul Aguiar made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Nóbrega. Montinho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Oeiras United Lions booed when Montinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Mansilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oeiras United Lions's Carlos Vieira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Montinho FC. In the 92nd minute Filipe Lages shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Muren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montinho FC's zone, Lúcio Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Nóbrega came out of the goal and Lúcio Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Oeiras United Lions players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
