Paulo Corte-Real didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Guerreiro went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When FC Perosinho's Manuel Gonçalves in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in SC Mesquita's zone, Manuel Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Corte-Real came out of the goal and Manuel Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Manuel Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Perosinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Mesquita's goalkeeper Paulo Corte-Real, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Guerreiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Corte-Real having to make a save. Manuel Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44th play minutes Manuel Gonçalves shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Paulo Corte-Real and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Guerreiro in the 48th minute of play forced SC Mesquita's goalkeeper Paulo Corte-Real to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Guerreiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Paulo Corte-Real when he managed to save the team from getting behind. SC Mesquita's Paulo Corte-Real proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Mesquita from getting a goal against them. Manuel Gonçalves came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paulo Corte-Real could save by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, SC Mesquita's goalkeeper Paulo Corte-Real had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Morais. André Morais's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paulo Corte-Real firmly grabbed it by the left post. Francisco Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Paulo Corte-Real tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, André Morais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Corte-Real was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Manuel Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Corte-Real when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulo Corte-Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Francisco Guerreiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Corte-Real. The goal made the score 0-7. Paulo Corte-Real stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Guerreiro's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute Francisco Guerreiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Corte-Real read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Guerreiro in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Corte-Real prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 93 played minutes SC Mesquita got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Liberato. When the final whistle sounded FC Perosinho left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Mesquita.
