With his leg Albertino Peseiro managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when SC Travessa's Marcus Paulin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Ventusela FC's Albertino Peseiro got control of the ball when Marcus Paulin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Paulin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albertino Peseiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee ignored Ventusela FC's protests and gave Graciano Avelar a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Ventusela FC got a freekick which was hit by Graciano Avelar. Albertino Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Br in the 41st minute of play. Pedro Br was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. SC Travessa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute Pedro Br shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Peseiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ventusela FC's Gil Paião got a free kick in the 55th minute. Albertino Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Paulin in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Pedro Br cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Albertino Peseiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Ventusela FC's zone, Marcus Paulin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Peseiro came out of the goal and Marcus Paulin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Br might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albertino Peseiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Br ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87thth minute of the game Marcus Paulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ventusela FC's Albertino Peseiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
