Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vivaldo Aires took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tiago Barcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tiago Barcelos came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Alvaredos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Barcelos couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vivaldo Aires sped through Salreu FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Delfim Soares. In the 19th minute of the match Jesualdo Chagas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delfim Soares skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Salreu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Barcelos came free, but Delfim Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salreu FC's Delfim Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Aires in the 22nd minute of play. Abel Garcia made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Artur Porto sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Alvaredos's goalkeeper Abel Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by António Leal. With a little luck, Alvaredos's Abel Garcia got control of the ball when António Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Salreu FC booed when Alvaredos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nuno Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If António Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, António Leal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Porto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Salreu FC's goalkeeper Delfim Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Barcelos. Delfim Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Tiago Barcelos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvaredos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. António Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Porto in the 67th minute of play forced Alvaredos's goalkeeper Abel Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Porto's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. A collision led to Salreu FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. António Leal hit a great ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Tiago Barcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvaredos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Barcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delfim Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Artur Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salreu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artur Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Alvaredos's zone, António Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Garcia came out of the goal and António Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Leal in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Garcia saved Alvaredos from getting behind. Mário Peixoto hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Abel Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Abel Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Alvaredos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
