The tension between the Trandeiras and the Futebol Cube Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Trandeiras getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. In the 14th match minute, Futebol Cube Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Sandro Nogueira could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Hamilton Caeiro however easily saved by the left post. Trandeiras's Nuno Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Silveira in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Trandeiras's Joaquim Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamilton Caeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Futebol Cube Benfica's Hamilton Caeiro got control of the ball when Sandro Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sabino Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Sabino Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Faria having to make a save. Rubim Trigueiro charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubim Trigueiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Futebol Cube Benfica's Sabino Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Almeida got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emílio Esteves. If Rubim Vilhena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute.
