The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Avelar got free with Jaime Mendes in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Alvarenga in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Santiago Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salvador FC and the Bruscos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Salvador FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aldo Franco made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jacinto Lisboa sent off a good shot on target. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Salvador FC had played much better football throughout.
