Cristóvão Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão Andrade in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Brochado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Cristóvão Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Brochado, passed just outside the right post. Cristóvão Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Brochado having to interfere. When Pedro Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Goes fans jumped to their feet. Pedro Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristóvão Andrade kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Brochado. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Vieira got free with Pedro Brochado in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Brochado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Andrade in the 39th minute of the match. Pedro Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Brochado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Pedro Vieira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Brochado. Benfica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Vieira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Andrade made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Brochado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Vieira in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Andrade came free, but Pedro Brochado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Brochado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Andrade in the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Benfica's zone, Pedro Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Brochado came out of the goal and Pedro Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Brochado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Vieira in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Goes's Pedro Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Brochado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Vieira in the 83rd minute of play forced Benfica's goalkeeper Pedro Brochado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Goes's Cristóvão Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Brochado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 minutes of play, Goes's Pedro Vieira made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Brochado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristóvão Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
