Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 0) Rubim Salgueiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Igor Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Vicente Caneira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Brochado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Luz in the 8th minute of play. Rubim Salgueiro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, Benfica's Sálvio Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Caneira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benfica reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Cirquidolo's zone, Joaquim Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Caneira came out of the goal and Joaquim Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Rubim Salgueiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Caneira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Mota in the 33rd minute of play. When Sálvio Vale fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benfica's protests and gave Sálvio Vale a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Benfica's Sálvio Vale got a free kick in the 37th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Luz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 56 minutes, Igor Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucas Luz came free in the 70th minute and tried to tip the ball over Pedro Brochado, but to the joy of Benfica's supporters the ball went over. Pedro Brochado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Joaquim Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Caneira having to interfere. Pedro Brochado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Luz in the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Joaquim Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Caneira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 played minutes Cirquidolo got a freekick which was hit by Duarte lacerda. The audience held their breath when Joaquim Mota in the 93rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Vicente Caneira's left hand side.
