After 6 played minutes Oriz got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Gago. In the 7th match minute, SLEriceira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altino Vilar to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Gherdan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, SLEriceira's Nuno Novais ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kevin Tristão. Kevin Tristão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Nuno Novais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Altino Vilar came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SLEriceira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Altino Vilar couldn't finish the play. Donato Neto's late challenge caught a SLEriceira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Neto helped the player get up and apologised. Donato Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Kevin Tristão came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SLEriceira's Jairo Azenha. But to his dismay, Jairo Azenha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Oriz getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cassiano Cruz hit a great ball. If Octavian Gherdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Altino Vilar came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the SLEriceira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Altino Vilar couldn't finish the play. Kevin Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Altino Vilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Azenha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kevin Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Jaime Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevin Tristão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Azenha in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Oriz's goalkeeper Kevin Tristão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Altino Vilar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Câmara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kevin Tristão came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by SLEriceira's Jairo Azenha. But to his dismay, Jairo Azenha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Altino Vilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 56 minutes into the game, Ricardo Câmara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oriz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SLEriceira the free kick. After 56 played minutes Oriz got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Câmara. After a defensive mix-up in Oriz's zone, Cheb Ouadah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Tristão came out of the goal and Cheb Ouadah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Altino Vilar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Emanuel Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Gago in the 68th minute of play. In the 73rd minute Jaime Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Jairo Azenha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLEriceira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Azenha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SLEriceira's Octavian Gherdan got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Azenha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Tristão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Azenha in the 81st minute of play forced Oriz's goalkeeper Kevin Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Kevin Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Tristão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jairo Azenha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Altino Vilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SLEriceira's supporters rose to their feet, but Altino Vilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Tristão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
