The supporters of AC Cortegaça booed when G.R.E.Queirela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Luís Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Cesar Obano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G.R.E.Queirela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Cortegaça the free kick. Cesar Obano kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Heitor Amaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Teixeira got free with Cristiano Soares in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bonifacio Escalante hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, AC Cortegaça's Humberto Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AC Cortegaça reached it. In the 22nd minute Manuel Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heitor Amaro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in G.R.E.Queirela's zone, Heitor Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Cabral came out of the goal and Heitor Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 28 minutes, Humberto Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Cortegaça and the G.R.E.Queirela players grew even worse after the yellow card. G.R.E.Queirela's José Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Cunha in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, G.R.E.Queirela's Cesar Obano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Vale during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, G.R.E.Queirela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Vale to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Cunha scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Cabral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heitor Amaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Manuel Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the G.R.E.Queirela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Soares made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Joaquim Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. In the 47thth minute of the game David Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Cortegaça's Cristiano Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

AC Cortegaça's Heitor Amaro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Guerreiro in the 58th minute of play. David Ribeiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Pedro Martins threw the ball into play from the sideline. G.R.E.Queirela's Miguel Vale quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. AC Cortegaça's Jorge Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. José Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Cunha in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, David Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Soares. AC Cortegaça's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. G.R.E.Queirela's Marco Cabral was substituted for Manuel Guerreiro. AC Cortegaça's Jorge Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heitor Amaro got in the 85th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but José Cabral handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. David Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heitor Amaro went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AC Cortegaça eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
