Diogo Moniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tarcísio Viegas made a huge save. Diamantino Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Corte-Real went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Humberto Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vieiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcísio Viegas having to interfere. Tarcísio Viegas made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Diogo Moniz sent off a good shot on target. If Diogo Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Humberto Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, André Corte-Real notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.L.EIRAS's Diamantino Almeida. Diamantino Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Bento Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Vieiro's André Corte-Real sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diamantino Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Teles got free with Diamantino Almeida in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diogo Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcísio Viegas having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, S.L.EIRAS's Diogo Moniz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tarcísio Viegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Teles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Almeida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When André Corte-Real came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Vieiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Corte-Real couldn't finish the play. Humberto Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Diamantino Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Diogo Moniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vieiro's Tarcísio Viegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of S.L.EIRAS booed when Vieiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Corte-Real didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes André Corte-Real rounded S.L.EIRAS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. A collision led to S.L.EIRAS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Amadeu Pinho hit a great ball. José Moutinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tarcísio Viegas. Vieiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th minute Rui Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcísio Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see S.L.EIRAS lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
