Haroldo Ariass short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got José Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 13th minute, Aveiro FC's Haroldo Arias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Tudo lá's goalkeeper José Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Fernandes. After some careless play in the Aveiro FC defense, Paulo Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Jesus. The Aveiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Jesus should have stopped the shot. Cláudio Fernandes didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-1 via right post in the game's 26th minute. Aveiro FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 29 minutes into the match, Tudo lá's goalkeeper José Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Fernandes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Arias in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Haroldo Arias in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 34 minutes into the game, Lucas Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tudo lá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aveiro FC the free kick. Lucas Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Haroldo Arias might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Arias ran back to his position shaking his head. José Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Fernandes went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Rui Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Raul Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Ramos was a little too slow when Haroldo Arias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Viana was the one to do the kick off. Cláudio Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. After 55 minutes, Paulo Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tudo lá and the Aveiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Valente hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. José Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Raul Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Valente in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Cláudio Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aveiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aveiro FC's Raul Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Viana in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Aveiro FC's Haroldo Arias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aveiro FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Aveiro FC's Abel Pacheco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joaquim Vale in the 81 minute of the game. Haroldo Arias struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. When Abel Pacheco fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aveiro FC's protests and gave Abel Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Júlio Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
