Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juvenal Guimarães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlos Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Pedroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF booed when Ilha F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Juvenal Guimarães managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF's Gustavo Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ademar Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Campos got free with Juvenal Guimarães in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Campos in the 12th minute of play forced Ilha F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. José Campos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, José Campos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Juvenal Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, José Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF's supporters rose to their feet, but José Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juvenal Guimarães was a little too slow when José Campos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a rather tough play, Ilha F.C.'s Armando Frois got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Tiago Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Fonseca got free with Juvenal Guimarães in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Guimarães having to interfere. Juvenal Guimarães was a little too slow when José Campos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dário Carmo to make the kick off. If José Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Adelino Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Tiago Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Juvenal Guimarães. Ilha F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Tiago Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Guimarães having to interfere. Tiago Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes of play, Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF's Tiago Fonseca made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juvenal Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tiago Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Pinheiro during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. André Pinheiro hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilha F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiago Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Guimarães having to interfere. Juvenal Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Campos in the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Castelo Mendo Fc - FLF had played much better football throughout.
