Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gil Branco started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Rui Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mesieiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Almendras's Abel Assis got a free kick in the 4th minute. António Vieira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Angelo Henriques. Nicolas Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. António Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Gil Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute Rui Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Branco in the 31st minute of play forced SC Mesieiro's goalkeeper Herberto Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herberto Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Branco in the 33rd minute of play. Herberto Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Branco in the 35th minute of the match. Gil Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Gil Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herberto Guarda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Guerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nicolas Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Teves during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Severino Teves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Herberto Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Guarda having to interfere. When Gil Branco came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Almendras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Branco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Mesieiro booed when Almendras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almendras's António Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Guerra in the 75th minute of play. If Gil Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Rui Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Rios in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Tiago Amaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Herberto Guarda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiago Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Herberto Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Almendras had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
