Eusébio Leal struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Hermes Maltez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caires FC. Inter de Bragança's Hermes Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Almeida in the 20th minute of play. Hermes Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Leal in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Inter de Bragança got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Madureira. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Mariano Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caires FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermes Maltez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
