In the 3rd minute of the match, Norbert Mnich got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vítor Domingues was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tiago Almeida shot from long distance in the 7th minute, but Vítor Domingues was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Vitória Sport Clube's Tiago Almeida spiked a well placed long shot which went just inside the left pole, with no chance at all for Vítor Domingues. Resulting in a 1-0 score after 7 minutes. Norbert Mnich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Domingues having to make a save. Diogo Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Diogo Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Vitória Sport Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Leão came free, but Gustavo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Soares in the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ajuda's Vítor Domingues got control of the ball when Norbert Mnich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fábio Vieira hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Tomás Lopes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Domingues skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Vitória Sport Clube booed when Ajuda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Mnich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vítor Domingues made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, Vitória Sport Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Leão came free, but Gustavo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vitória Sport Clube getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Cláudio Cardoso hit a great ball. Fernando Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jaime Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gustavo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Ajuda's Jaime Leão in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vitória Sport Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Gustavo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Norbert Mnich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Domingues was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Ajuda's Jaime Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Nuno Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ajuda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vitória Sport Clube.
