The tension between the Duque and the FdP clan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Duque got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Azeredo. If José Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porfírio Barcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Gueifão in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, FdP clan's José Gueifão got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Onofre in the 25th minute of play forced FdP clan's goalkeeper Amadeu Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Porfírio Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FdP clan. When José Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FdP clan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Gueifão couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Mazinho Travassos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mazinho Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porfírio Barcelos having to interfere. Mazinho Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Porfírio Barcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Duque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Assis to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mazinho Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Duque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliano Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mazinho Travassos sped through Duque's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Porfírio Barcelos. Nicolas Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Amadeu Guerreiro made a huge save. Mazinho Travassos struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Porfírio Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FdP clan. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when António Moreira put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in FdP clan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Duque. Jairo Macena stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amadeu Guerreiro. 1-1. The long shot by Juliano Guerreiro in the 67th minute really tested Amadeu Guerreiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Mazinho Travassos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Duque's Porfírio Barcelos. Porfírio Barcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Duque's zone, Mazinho Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porfírio Barcelos came out of the goal and Mazinho Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Duque's Sebastião Freitas got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mazinho Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Porfírio Barcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porfírio Barcelos having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FdP clan had played much better football throughout.
