Bruno Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Porfírio Barcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Óscar Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Óscar Freire took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Porfírio Barcelos. Porfírio Barcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Óscar Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Óscar Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Porfírio Barcelos having to make a save. Óscar Freire struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Porfírio Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mareco. Duque's Porfírio Barcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Freire in the 32nd minute of play. Óscar Freire struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Porfírio Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mareco. After a defensive mix-up in Duque's zone, Caio lacerda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porfírio Barcelos came out of the goal and Caio lacerda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Leme in the 43rd minute of play forced Duque's goalkeeper Porfírio Barcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Caio lacerda came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mareco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio lacerda couldn't finish the play. After the first half Mareco were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murilo Assis was the one to do the kick off. Caio lacerda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Porfírio Barcelos made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Caio lacerda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfírio Barcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Porfírio Barcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Leme in the 68th minute of play. Caio lacerda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Porfírio Barcelos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Mareco booed when Duque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Azeredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Duque's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Caio lacerda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Óscar Freire notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Duque's Porfírio Barcelos. Porfírio Barcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Porfírio Barcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caio lacerda in the 82nd minute. When Caio lacerda came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mareco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio lacerda couldn't finish the play. Bruno Leme was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Mareco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Torcato Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duque's protests and gave Torcato Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Duque getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Torcato Rocha hit a great ball. Mareco's Bruno Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porfírio Barcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caio lacerda in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Bruno Azenha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95thth minute of the game Óscar Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duque's Porfírio Barcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mareco played a much better game than Duque and deserved their victory. The Duque players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
