Ricardo Veríssimo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heitor Monteiro's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, one of FigueirinhaFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 89 played minutes Cabanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Assunção. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Duarte Amado managed to get in a good position for a shot. FigueirinhaFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Amado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cabanes FC's Fernando Carneiro got a free kick in the 91st minute. FigueirinhaFC's Ricardo Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Monteiro in the 98th minute of play.
