TFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Guarda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eagles Fc's Juan Quintana got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Quintana struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Filipe Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eagles Fc. Paulo Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Filipe Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
