The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonso Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Calimeros booed when Zezere FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Candal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Zezere FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rodrigo Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zezere FC's Jarbas Candal got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Jarbas Candal off the ground. After 15 played minutes Zezere FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Candal. Vítor Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute, Zezere FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rodrigo Magalhães fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 30 minutes into the match, Calimeros's Vítor Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Zezere FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Domingos. When Vítor Amorim in the 37th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Afonso Braga kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Afonso Braga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Magalhães went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.

In the 53rd minute, Vítor Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Braga was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Vítor Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Braga having to interfere. Calimeros's Vítor Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zezere FC's Afonso Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Amorim in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Domingos during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th minute, Emanuel Domingos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isac Quental fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Guerreiro having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Vítor Amorim notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Zezere FC's Afonso Braga. Afonso Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vítor Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zezere FC's zone, Rodrigo Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Braga came out of the goal and Rodrigo Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Calimeros had played much better football throughout.
