The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Åke Sjögren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Interviú's Gabriel Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Torcato in the 10th minute of play. Jan-Åke Sjögren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Palma when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paulo Frois charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Frois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Alto Das Veigas F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Frois to maneuver through the defense. Alto Das Veigas F.C.'s Paulo Palma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Alto Das Veigas F.C. from getting a goal against them. Cássio Torcato took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Mendes. Gabriel Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Diogo Godinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Mendes. Interviú's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Godinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 36th minute of the match, Jan-Åke Sjögren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulo Palma was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Interviú's Cristóvão Gonçalves got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Åke Sjögren to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Tomás Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Interviú's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Torcato, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute of the match, Diogo Godinho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gabriel Mendes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Paulo Frois could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gabriel Mendes made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Alto Das Veigas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Sjögren came free, but Paulo Palma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diogo Godinho went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. With 75 minutes on the clock, Carlos Leiria commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Alto Das Veigas F.C.'s Diogo Godinho got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Tomás Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alto Das Veigas F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
