After 11 minutes, Miguel Rocha made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. CCD Reguengo's Alcino Martins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Inácio Leite's late challenge caught a CCD Reguengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Leite helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sagres FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Inácio Leite hit a great ball. Sagres FC's Miguel Rocha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Diogo Vaz came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by CCD Reguengo's Hermes Campelo. But to his dismay, Hermes Campelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in CCD Reguengo's zone, Raul Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alcino Martins came out of the goal and Raul Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the CCD Reguengo defense, Miguel Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alcino Martins. The CCD Reguengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alcino Martins should have stopped the shot. Miguel Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alcino Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alcino Martins having to interfere. If Raul Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sagres FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alcino Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alcino Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Miguel Rocha made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CCD Reguengo getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Rui Vital hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sagres FC's Álvaro Moniz got a free kick in the 66th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Afonso Maia put in a rough tackle. 4-2 came through a penalty shot after 75 played minutes, when CCD Reguengo:s Emanuel Costa calmly waited for Sagres FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Miguel Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes of play, CCD Reguengo's Rui Vital made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th match minute, Sagres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Melo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Rocha in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alcino Martins saved CCD Reguengo from getting behind. In the 89thth minute of the game Miguel Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CCD Reguengo's Alcino Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Miguel Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alcino Martins was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Miguel Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
