In the 31st minute, Diogo Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valério Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Barbosa in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Casteleiro's Luís Trigueiro got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd play minute Sandro Gonçalves came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Valério Figueiredo. 4-1. Valério Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sandro Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Alexandrino Seixas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Rocha having to interfere. Inácio Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Barbosa in the 79th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Jaime Amaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ribeira Brava and the Casteleiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ribeira Brava's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Figueiredo having to interfere. Germano Eanes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Ribeira Brava walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
