With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Barbosa in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Vilalobos saved Salreu from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Sandro Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Vilalobos was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Salreu's Aloísio Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Gonçalves in the 9th minute of play. The Ribeira Brava fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Ribeira Brava's Nuno Sousa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Barbosa in the 14th minute of play forced Salreu's goalkeeper Aloísio Vilalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Sousa scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloísio Vilalobos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ribeira Brava's Diogo Barbosa in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. 56 minutes into the game, Diogo Barbosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aloísio Vilalobos. Diogo Barbosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Lisandro Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Rocha having to interfere. After 63 minutes of play, Ribeira Brava's Sandro Gonçalves made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Vilalobos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Diogo Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ribeira Brava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Barbosa couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ribeira Brava's goalkeeper Adolfo Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Salreu's zone, Diogo Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Vilalobos came out of the goal and Diogo Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes in the game, Diogo Barbosa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aloísio Vilalobos having to interfere. Aloísio Vilalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Vilalobos made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Sandro Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. When Porfírio Tomé fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salreu's protests and gave Porfírio Tomé a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Salreu's Porfírio Tomé got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Salreu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ribeira Brava were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
