Aloísio Vilalobos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Germano Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Vilalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Fraga in the 36th minute of play forced Salreu's goalkeeper Aloísio Vilalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inácio Fraga in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Vilalobos saved Salreu from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Salreu's Marcos Guimarães dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After the first half Casteleiro were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inácio Fraga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, José Santiago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Vilalobos came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Casteleiro's Germano Eanes. But to his dismay, Germano Eanes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Germano Eanes came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Casteleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Eanes couldn't finish the play. Aloísio Vilalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Fraga in the 63rd minute of the match. Marcos Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Valério Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Casteleiro getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alexandrino Seixas hit a great ball. Marcos Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Valério Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salreu. Valério Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Porfírio Tomé went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Guimarães in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Figueiredo saved Casteleiro from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Inácio Fraga took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Aloísio Vilalobos to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Salreu's zone, Inácio Fraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Vilalobos came out of the goal and Inácio Fraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Inácio Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Casteleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Fraga couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Inácio Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Casteleiro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Casteleiro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
