Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) Renato Laureano made the kick off and thus started the match. Silvano Sardinha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Laureano in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mourim's zone, Renato Laureano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Sardinha came out of the goal and Renato Laureano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renato Laureano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Silvano Sardinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Loureiro in the 20th minute of play. When Ivo Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mourim's protests and gave Ivo Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Eurico Laureano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Laureano struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Silvano Sardinha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cambelas. After 32 played minutes Mourim got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Bettencourt. Renato Laureano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renato Laureano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Sardinha having to interfere. Leandro Mendonça hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Catarino Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Catarino Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Laureano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Manuel Tristão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64th play minutes Catarino Loureiro shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Hugo Camargo and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nivaldo Borges in the 67th minute of play forced SC Cambelas's goalkeeper Hugo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nivaldo Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Adélio Regueira fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cambelas's protests and gave Adélio Regueira a yellow card for diving instead. Adélio Regueira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Carlos Bettencourt fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 75th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Catarino Loureiro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Camargo saved SC Cambelas from getting behind. When Nivaldo Borges came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mourim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nivaldo Borges couldn't finish the play. If Catarino Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Tristão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Silvano Sardinha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. SC Cambelas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
