Hamilton Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Filipe Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Carvalhal in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Perosinho FC's Baltasar Portela dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leões do Feijó! Filipe Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damião Branco's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Leões do Feijó's Joaquim Fontes pulled a muscle in his leg after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 18th minute, Claudemiro Bandeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Silvano Carvalhal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamilton Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Armindo Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leões do Feijó. Hamilton Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Silva having to interfere. Armindo Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Bettencourt in the 32nd minute of play. If Silvano Carvalhal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute, Leões do Feijó's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baltasar Portela fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltasar Portela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvano Carvalhal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Silvano Carvalhal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perosinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Carvalhal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvano Carvalhal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Filipe Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Baltasar Portela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamilton Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Armindo Silva made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Carvalhal in the 76th minute of play forced Leões do Feijó's goalkeeper Filipe Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hamilton Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Baltasar Portela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Hamilton Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leões do Feijó's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamilton Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 84 minutes, Paulo Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perosinho FC and the Leões do Feijó players grew even worse after the yellow card.
