Sabino Rebelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to G.D.VILAR getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Diogo Amaral hit a great ball. Eusébio Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Alvarenga in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Armando Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Sá in the 52nd minute of play forced Ariola's goalkeeper Sabino Rebelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pedro Esteves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, G.D.VILAR's Pedro Esteves got a free kick in the 56th minute. Eusébio Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Eusébio Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sabino Rebelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes, Armando Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariola and the G.D.VILAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Armando Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Gabriel Alves's late challenge caught a Ariola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Alves helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes G.D.VILAR got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Alves. G.D.VILAR's Eusébio Ferro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save G.D.VILAR from getting a goal against them. Eusébio Ferro made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Belchior Almeida sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurentino Lima got free with Eusébio Ferro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Ferro having to interfere. G.D.VILAR's Eusébio Ferro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save G.D.VILAR from getting a goal against them. G.D.VILAR's Eusébio Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Aires in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, G.D.VILAR's goalkeeper Eusébio Ferro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurentino Lima.
