SC Gataria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zarco Cerqueira in the 38th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Xavier Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almograve FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Adriano Godinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If André Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano Godinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Almograve FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
