After a rather tough play, Gomariz's Constantino Nesto got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliveira Leiria got free with Bruno Leal in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Oliveira Leiria could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Bruno Leal however easily saved by the left post. When José Coimbra came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Piratas do Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Coimbra couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Fernandes lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the referee ended the match the Gomariz players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
