Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sabugal FC's Fábio Macedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermínio Manso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Macedo in the 8th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Sabugal FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Leal. Lúcio Belém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Paulo Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Jorge Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabugal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Leitão in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Correia saved Sabugal FC from getting behind. Luís Leal was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Sabugal FC's Luís Leal got a free kick in the 29th minute. Paulo Correia made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Reinaldo Leitão sent off a good shot on target. If Lúcio Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Ferreira hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, Sudro's Reinaldo Leitão made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio Belém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Correia having to interfere. Sudro's Aparício Albuquerque pulled a muscle in his back after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 48th minute, Reinaldo Leitão fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paulo Correia, passed just outside the right post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Leitão was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lúcio Belém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sudro's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Belém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reinaldo Leitão went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Reinaldo Leitão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Paulo Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sabugal FC's Fábio Macedo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Adão Taborda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Correia having to interfere. Paulo Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reinaldo Leitão's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 69th match minute, Sudro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adão Taborda to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Belém in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Leitão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Correia. Sabugal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Leitão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Reinaldo Leitão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Leitão in the 86th minute of play forced Sabugal FC's goalkeeper Paulo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sabugal FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jorge Gueifão hit a great ball. Reinaldo Leitão struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Paulo Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sudro. The supporters of Sudro booed when Sabugal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaldo Leitão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Reinaldo Leitão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
