The supporters of Cubas FC booed when Caldas da Rainha SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurentino Casado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurentino Casado kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Paulo Rodrigues was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Virgílio Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Caldas da Rainha SC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Laurentino Casado hit a great ball. Carlos Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Menezes having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caldas da Rainha SC! Paulo Rodrigues shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Carlos Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adélio Quirino during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Laércio Menezes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Cristiano Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Basílio Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurentino Casado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Isac Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caldas da Rainha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlos Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Cristiano Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cubas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Isac Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porfírio Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Paulo Rodrigues's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Laércio Menezes - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute Cristiano Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Menezes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Menezes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Figueiredo in the 80th minute of the match. Delfim Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delfim Brito hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Lourenço Leal fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caldas da Rainha SC's protests and gave Lourenço Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Lourenço Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Carlos Henriques got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Laércio Menezes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Figueiredo in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Cubas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caldas da Rainha SC throughout the match.
