Spectators: 7262 (Terracing: 5448, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filipe Carvalho kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Lisboa during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Ervidel got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Figueiredo. After a defensive mix-up in Ervidel's zone, Filipe Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Marques came out of the goal and Filipe Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe Carvalho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. SC Garriapa's Carlos Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Nogueira in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, José Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Garriapa's supporters rose to their feet, but José Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Ramos got free with Ricardo Marques in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute Filipe Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Ervidel's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Carvalho came free, but Ricardo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Filipe Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carlos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Marques didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. José Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Nogueira made a kick off. If José Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of SC Garriapa booed when Ervidel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Faro placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Filipe Figueiredo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Carlos Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. SC Garriapa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
