When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Figueiredo made a kick off. When Mário Luz came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Pimeirol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Luz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pimeirol's zone, Gonçalo Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Ferro came out of the goal and Gonçalo Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Cristóvão Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Poarto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Ferro having to interfere. FC Poarto's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Setúbal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Poarto's Cristóvão Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, FC Poarto's Cristóvão Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Ferro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
