Spectators: 1691 (Terracing: 0, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 30) Caroceiras FC's Hélio Calçada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hélio Calçada kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GIL FC's Gaspar Jesus got a free kick in the 4th minute. David Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, GIL FC's Eduardo Rodrigues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregório Valentim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregório Valentim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Coelho in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Coelho in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregório Valentim saved Caroceiras FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, GIL FC's Melchor Gorbea got a free kick in the 25th minute. Caroceiras FC's Amílcar Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Calçada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Assis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Carlos Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Hélio Calçada came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Caroceiras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Calçada couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, GIL FC's David Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregório Valentim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when David Coelho made the kick off in the second half. Cesário Moutinho thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Gregório Valentim, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 2-0. Gregório Valentim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Rodrigues in the 61st minute of play. David Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregório Valentim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaspar Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Caroceiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Filinto Belo. Melchor Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Caroceiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Gorbea came free, but Gregório Valentim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GIL FC's Vladimir Gaidãu got a free kick in the 87th minute. Gaspar Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, GIL FC could leave the field as winners, despite Caroceiras FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
