Vladimiro Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Giestosa. Vladimiro Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Pinto's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Alfredo Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vladimiro Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Valido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Team Eagles PF's Vladimiro Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Pinto in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Team Eagles PF's goalkeeper Vladimiro Sampaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladimiro Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Cardoso in the 23rd minute. Tarcísio Marinho charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tarcísio Marinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Team Eagles PF got a freekick which was hit by Tarcísio Marinho. After recieving a nice pass, SC Giestosa's Carlos Moutinho tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Luís Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Estrela hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Luís Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the SC Giestosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Pinto couldn't finish the play. Vladimiro Sampaio was a little too slow when Luís Pinto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some careless play in the SC Giestosa defense, Horácio França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Oliveira. The SC Giestosa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Oliveira should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Pinto made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Luís Pinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Team Eagles PF's Vladimiro Sampaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Alfredo Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the SC Giestosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Luís Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Vladimiro Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Horácio França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Sampaio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Valido in the 81st minute of play forced SC Giestosa's goalkeeper Daniel Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
